Artisan’s Gone “Green”

To say that we’ve all of a sudden jumped on the “Green” Bandwagon and are riding the wave of global change wouldn’t be quite right.  The truth is, we’ve been recycling and conserving our power, water, paper and supplies for years!

But with the recent push to be more socially responsible, Artisan has definitely found itself changing some of its everyday business practices and decisions to be a bit more “green”.

Some of the changes have been small - the little ways each member of our team makes a difference.  Others have been big - changing the way we operate and requiring months of planning before implementation.

Whether big or small - each change is helping make a cleaner, greener and more efficient planet.  Click here to find out How to make your Home or Office Green or read below to see how we’ve changed.

  • Candidate timesheets are submitted online, saving paper and energy.
  • Client invoices are delivered by email, saving on postage, paper & transport.
  • Records are kept as softcopies only.  Beginning in 2009, hard copies of files, agreements and invoices will not be printed and filed, saving on paper and space.
  • Offsite home-offices have been set-up for employees with lengthy commutes to cut down on carbon emissions.
  • All computers, printers and faxes operate on PowerSave - shutting off when idle.
  • Lightbulbs in office & desk lamps have been replaced with energy-efficient bulbs to save power.
  • Recycling stations have been set-up in the break room for plastic, metal, glass & paper, saving space in our landfills.
  • Paper is printed on twice (both front & back) before recycling.
  • We only buy recycled paper for our printers/copiers.
  • We use & wash mugs, instead of paper/plastic cups, reducing our waste.
  • We use & wash handtowels in our restrooms, instead of paper, saving trees.
  • Employees are active in Green Communities, Events & Social Networks.
