Artisan attends LA’s Go Green Expo
Artisan team members Erin Scruby and Jess Bedford hit the floors of the Los Angeles Convention Center on Jan 23 to meet with some of the Green Industry’s leading exhibitors, speakers and enthusiasts at the 1st annual Go Green Expo.
A truly unique event, this 3-day expo sought to change not only the public’s perception of environmentalism but also how events can be produced and managed with the environment in mind. Inviting companies large and small to showcase what they are doing to reduce their respective carbon footprint, consumers had hands on experiences with “eco-friendly” alternatives to current everyday products and services. They also heard guest speakers, participated in panel discussions and enjoyed the latest in “green” film.
The event itself was also environmentally friendly - utilizing a ZERO Carbon footprint approach to event production: biodegradable trash bags, eco-friendly printing, table coverings, recycled signs, compostable sponsor banners and more. Event waste was also separated and sorted to ensure the least amount of refuse going to landfills. Staff travel and a portion of every ticket was also be carbon offset.
Go Green Expo inviteed both consumers & business owners to learn more about what is readily available so they can take steps to purchase earth friendly products & services to make our communities greener, one city at a time.
